Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted.
Grading is based on visual inspection.
Album ships in a 2 MIL poly cover sleeve with record outside the cover.
- Based on the striped label I believe this is a First Pressing on heavy vinyl. I can't tell by the matrix.
- Except for the scratch the record has a clean playing surface. Seller thinks it may have been an in-store play copy.
- This Promo is a one-owner acquired by the Seller from the Capitol Records rep in his store in 1969. The Promo stamp is on the back cover.
- The paper on board cover has tight seams with very slight ring wear. There is an ink written symbol at the top back left.
More is the first full-length soundtrack album, and third studio album, by the English rock band Pink Floyd, released on 13 June 1969 in the United Kingdom. On 9 August 1969, it was released in the United States asOriginal Motion Picture Soundtrack from the film More.[1][2] The film More was made in Luxembourg in 1969 and was directed by Barbet Schroeder.
More contains some acoustic folk ballads, a genre that appeared sparsely on later works. It also contains some of the band's "heaviest" recordings, such as "The Nile Song" and "Ibiza Bar",[3][4] as well as several instrumental tracks, featuring their experimental and avant-garde approach.
This is Pink Floyd's first full album without founder member Syd Barrett, who was ousted from the group in early 1968 during the recording of A Saucerful of Secrets. It is one of the three Pink Floyd albums to feature David Gilmour as the sole lead vocalist, the others being 1987's A Momentary Lapse of Reason and 2014's The Endless River, and it is also the first album to be produced by Pink Floyd without assistance from Norman Smith.More was recorded at Pye Studios, Marble Arch, London and engineered by Brian Humphries.[5]
Two songs can be heard in the film that were not included on the album: "Seabirds"[6] and "Hollywood".
