Description
This is a beautiful copy of Pink Floyd's Meddle in a limited edition pressing by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab with a very low serial number of #0175 out of 5000. This is my copy, which I bought new back in the 1980s and have played it maybe a dozen times. It is an absolutely stunning recording of one of Pink Floyd's best records. "Echoes" is guaranteed to make you cry it sounds so good. Don't worry about buying a sealed copy and feeling guilty about ripping it open. This one's already open and about as close to mint as you're going to get. And the low serial number of 0175 really means something on these records. A higher serial number equals more pressings made on the master plate which equals more micro-damage to it, yielding a lesser pressing as the pressings continue on. Lower numbers correspond with much purer sound because of less damage to the press plate. Lower number = better pressing. As someone who collects MFSL records, this pressing is one of the finest Original Master Recordings I own or have ever heard. A used (but well taken care of) copy at #0175 is going to be better than a sealed copy at #2500. If a primo copy of this record has been on your wish list, stop wishing, start bidding.
