Description

An original 1st press of Meddle on the UK Harvest label from 1971. Matrix A1/B1 - very 1st cut. Stampers 1M-2H [nice early stampers]. Please note, importantly, that 'Gramophone' is still evident in the label's perimeter text - indicative of 1st issue. The vinyl comes housed in an original G&L cover with light texturing. Also included is the original inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In fantastic condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Beautiful clean audio ..and that is imperative with Floyd, or you'll just end up disappointed. Very little to find fault with - perhaps just a few light crackles in a couple of isolated spots. A truly great little player.
Cover (Vg+) Not quite up to the standard of the vinyl, but more than acceptable. Relatively clean front and back with little creasing and just one or two marks. Please note there's a name written in biro toward the top edge on the rear. The interior is in pretty decent condition with no foxing or noticeable ageing. The thing that lets this copy down is there's a bit of edge wear. Nothing epic or worn-through, but don't expect to be able to make out much of the text on the spine.
Inner (Vg+) Bit of ageing. A one inch bottom edge split. Otherwise aok.
