Up for auction here is the mega-rare Pink Floyd underground LP 'Pinky' - Pressed here in merry old England in 1971. One of the rarest Pink Floyd white label pressings of this kind ever. And so rare that (to my knowledge) it has never been up for sale on ebay before this one.

A VERY RARE AND EARLY ENGLISH ALBUM FROM 1971. FOLLOWING SOME INFORMATION FROM THE ORIGINAL MAKER, THE HISTORY OF THIS RELEASE (WHICH WAS ALWAYS SHROUDED IN UNCERTAINTY) IS NOW SOMEWHAT CLEARER....
ALL OF THE FIRST PRESSINGS OF PINKY (ABOUT 50) WERE PRESSED WITH PLAIN WHITE LABELS AND HOUSED IN PLAIN WHITE SLEEVES. THESE ARE EASILY RECOGNISED BY THE WORD 'PINKY' WRITTEN NEATLY IN THE TOP RIGHT HAND CORNER ON ALL COPIES. THE WHITE COVERS WERE SEALED ON THE LEFT HAND SPINE USING A CLOTH BASED STICKY TAPE WHICH HAS DARKENED OVER THE YEARS.THE MATRIX NUMBER WAS ON SIDE ONE ONLY (DJ3003A).

Those in the know will understand the rarity of this album. Unfortunately, the condition of the vinyl I will have to rate as quite poor, although it is not covered in hairlines, and so the vinyl is quite clean, there are some major scratches on the record, although most of them you can't feel - there are a few that you can, and I would think they would be audible. The cover is pretty good on the whole being just a little dirty and with a 2.5 inh seam split on the left spine, but as I said, overall the sleeve is pretty good. Anyway I should treat this one more as a collection filler (rather than one to play) until another one turns up - if one ever does as these are so rare!!!
The matrix number is on side one only and is: DJ3003A.
This album may be of interest to collectors of TMOQ, WIZARDO, CBM ETC.
