Description

This has been relisted, I originally pulled the listing as I had decided to keep it but I've taken that decision back

Up for sale here is a decent example of the very rare original 1967 stereo pressing of Pink Floyd's debut album, The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn. With the original Blue Columbia copies, not many were pressed and even less were pressed in stereo as it wasn't the dominant format at the time, making this LP a little rarer than the mono copies.
Please understand that this record is not mint! The record has hairline marks to it and age related wear, and there are some scuffs and scratches on both sides of the record, although this record plays through without skipping and sounds very nice. The scratching/marking is a little more abundant on Interstellar Overdrive, and there are some minor pops here and there but the sound is still incredibly delightful. I play-grade my records based on headphone listening sessions to make sure I'm not over-grading here, if played on speakers any surface noise might be less noticeable. Given this, I'd personally grade the record as a solid VG with clear age related wear and marks and surface noise only noticeable in some quieter segments, yet still being able to provide a stunning listening experience. Below will be a link to where you can listen to a recording I have made of this exact record and hear how it sounds for yourself, this will also give an indication towards any wear on the LP.
This LP comes with it's original E.J. Day laminated flipback cover which unfortunately has a large tear on the front, going from the opening to almost touching the spine, I have tried to outline this in the last photo however it may not show up so well. Truly a shame because otherwise the cover is in nice condition for it's age, the spine is nice, clear and fully readable and the back side doesn't show major signs of wear, it also has the "File under: Pop Groups" addition on the top right. There is some ring wear on the front and slight rubbing to some of the laminate but other than that It's in a nice shape for it's age but because of the tear I'll only grade this at a maximum of G+
Matrix numbers are -1 on both sides Stampers are 1R and 1A respectively, showing this is an earlier copy

Please note, this recording has to be compressed to be able to fit all 40 minutes onto the player so there is some artificial digital noise added by that process that is not present on the actual record.
