One of the most highly sought after releases from the Pink Floyd repertoire.
Sleeve is simply awesome and a stunning exhibit with a thick laminated coat on front face. Garrod & Lofthouse patents pending sleeve. Photos by the infamous Hipgnosis . Minor faults only which make this a rare exhibit indeed with just the slightest rubs on top/lower flip backs and some three/four creases on outer face and that is all! No edge wear! No spinal wear as you run your finger along spinal column. In fact the tapered spine is near perfection! Hardly a laminate split. No rips or tears. No thickening to opening edge and a gem of an example. Coloration unfaded and an ultra clean reverse face. Smooth, mirror like finish and a n excellent example of this massive rarity.
Inner sleeve
Original E M I advertising inner sleeve in wonderful format with NO seam splits and ultra clean condition. No rips or tears. Patents Applied for credits on lower edge to authenticate its genuity.
Labels
Near mint minus with little to fault! Sold in UK text and Gramophone Co. credits with only one or two spiderlines visible. NO mottling. NO damage at all really and phenomenal examples of this mega rare pressing. Appear fresh and virtually factory new!!
Vinyl
Thick quality pressing and gives a buzz when held. Excellent visual with glass like appearance with a stunning sheen . Only a few hairlines/light scratches visible if angled against a strong light.
Audio
In magnificent stereo and some delightful tracks . Surface/ static detected and is graded very good/good during one or two of the tracks, especially start of side 2 but channels soon pan out to a sensational Saucerful spiral experience…The sounds are truly amazing…. Some tiny scratching on surface causing some aural disturbance so one needs to be aware of this. For the most part, the audio is considered very good/excellent. The cyclic turbulence of the percussion and the penetrative tones projected from Set the Controls are superbly hypnotic!
A superb exhibit of this hard to find and very scarce early pressing of this awesome Floyd classic.
