Auction Specifics and Condition:
Very desirable and sought after Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs audiophile pressing of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon".
Cover Grading:
-- Cover is VG- to VG. This lp had been stored in a wooden crate as they often were, and was subsequently moved many times over the years. This caused the edges to lose some of the black and develop some "balding" in spots. The cover is scuffed and shows wear, but it did its job. The record inside is as new. Also, this package contains all of the original inserts you would find with this MFSL lp. The insert have experienced some light acid migration in the paper. Please see the detailed photographs for all of this.
Record Grading:
The record itself looks absolutely NM. The owner said he played this only a few times and I would not doubt that. It looks that nice. The JVC super vinyl lp really looks fab without any hint of a paper or fingernail scuff. No spindle marks, writing, etc.
Please note about the records****** Records have been cleaned on a VPI 16.5 vacuum record cleaner using "Disc Doctor" audiophile record cleaning fluid. This stuff is really amazing, and greatly enhances the musicality of vinyl playback better than anything else I have ever used. You would not believe the brown oils this stuff lifts off vinyl as vinyl records tend to leach oil over the years and deaden playback. The difference this stuff makes in many cases is remarkable. The better your system - the better the results.
