Description
Rare UK 1st Issue of Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon Indicators of this being a first issue: 1. The label has a solid blue prism. Subsequent pressings have a blue glowing inner edge prism with the centre black. 2. ‘The Gramophone Co.’ text is centred on label above prism. 3.A2/B2 matrix in deadwax of run out groove. 4. Thick heavyweight vinyl. 5. There is a distinct bluish tint/tinge in the black ink of the cover. 6. Inner sleeve is a distinctive polythene lined die cut black semi matt paper with white printed text stating 2 patent numbers bottom left [112555/1072844] and ‘MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN’ bottom right. 7. Stickers have printed backs with diagonal lines across them. 8. Gatefold sleeve, both ends unglued.
I have had it confirmed as a first issue by a local record specialist.

The disc has had one careful owner (my partners father) who bought it from new. He states it was played once, as he bought an additional copy to listen to, as he didn't want to wear out the original!
Record itself is in very-near-mint condition: there is small scratch on sticker near centre hole on Side 1, undoubtedly caused when loading onto the player and it's caught the spindle.
The stickers are intact, but sadly NO POSTERS. Stickers are unpeeled and in excellent condition. The sleeve itself is worn around edges, has lost it's colouring on the edges where it has been slid in and out of its shelf. Some wear to the ink on the front on back, can make out a circle where the box edge has worn around the impression of the disk. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PHOTOS TO SEE THE EXTENT OF THIS.
