Release Information: First mono issue, second 1968 pressing, on a black Columbia label with a blue Columbia trademark logo.

Description:

Front cover: Kaleidoscope picture of the band. "PINK FLOYD" is written at bottom center. EMI logo in upper left corner. Laminated flipback cover.

Back cover: includes title, credits, and song listing. Catalog number in upper right corner. Unlaminated except for flipbacks. The top right part of the flipback includes the text: "File under POPULAR : Pop Groups". On bottom flipback is written “6709 TPS Printed and made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd., London SX 6157 / SCX 6157”.

Spine: “The Pink Floyd” is written in black on a white background.

Inner Sleeve: Reddish brown printing on cream colored paper. On the front side is the EMI logo at the top center, with "Add these outstanding LPs to your collection" in capitals at the top, 16 LP covers pictured in the middle including The Beatles Sgt. Peppers, and "Remember-the new ‘Emitex’ cleans and preserves your records" and "Patents applied for" in capitals at the bottom. On the back side is the EMI logo at the top center, with " - the greatest recording organization in the world" at the top, 16 LP covers pictured including The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, and "E.M.I. Records (The Gramophone Company Ltd.) Hayes - Middlesex - England, Made and Printed in Great Britain" at the bottom.

Labels #1 [L1]: Black labels with silver text, and a blue "Columbia Records Trademark" at the top, and a blue "Columbia" above the centre. Underneath the blue "Columbia" is written "Sold in U.K. subject to resale price conditions, see price lists". At the bottom of the label, it says "Made in Gt. Britain". Text around the edge of the label starts at 10 o'clock states: “The Gramophone Co Ltd. All rights of the manufacturer and of the owner of the recorded work reserved. Unauthorised public performance, broadcasting, and copying of this record prohibited”. The songwriting credits for Interstellar Overdrive on side 2 are under the song title. No tax code embossing.

CONDITION WITH GRADING (see pics)

Front Cover: Laminated cover is extremely glossy and well preserved. Faint ringwear visible under bright light. Limited creasing on the side edges. Slight rounding of the corners and opening edgewear.  Excellent minus

Back Cover: Laminated flipback remains glossy with few creases. Unlaminated back cover has slight discoloration to the side edges otherwise is ‘as new’ with no writing and few marks. Excellent minus

Spine: remains glossy with a few chips. “The Pink Floyd” text is clear and unbroken. Excellent minus

Inner Sleeve: Body of sleeve intact and clear with no writing. Some discoloration on the side edges. Partial seam splits to each side. Very Good plus

Labels: Both labels intact with no writing. Whitening around the centre hole. Spindle wear visible in bright light. Excellent minus

Vinyl: Looks glossy in normal light with surface mark visible on side 1. Under bright light handling and surface scuffing visible commensurate with a well played record. Very Good

Vinyl: Plays through without skips or jumps. No background noise or hissing except in quiet moments and in between tracks. Excellent minus
