An original 1st press of WALL on the UK Harvest label. Matrix 3/3/1/2. Early copies of THE WALL are pressed heavy and the quality of audio output is far in excess of later copies. If you LOVE - the Wall - then for the ultimate rendition you're going to need a 1st copy - and just as important - it needs to be REALLY clean. Because this LP really requires maximum clarity to deliver the full gamut of fear and angst! The vinyl comes housed in an original heavy card cover - not flimsy stock like later copies. The 1st issue copies are fairly easy to spot - there should NOT be the band members listed in purple in the cell directly above the 'baby in a cell' [in the interior - right panel]. This original 1st issue comes with its original 'PF' sticker. We also have both original solid-card round cornered inner sleeves. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete. For any self-respecting WALL fan... this is the ultimate copy.
Vinyl (Ex+/Ex+) In super looking condition. Clearly low-mileage and when titled into the light - nice shiny grooves which indicates low-level use. Under close inspection I'm struggling to make out anything more than a couple of very light marks per side - nothing of consequence. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with two deviations. This is quite straightforwardly one of the best renditions I've ever witnessed. I've certainly never witnessed better - it's closing in on perfect. THE WALL has a lot of incredibly low-key moments which are super fussy. Most copies - even really nice looking ones - will never get anywhere near the kind of clean signal this copy can deliver. This copy is playing so clean I can only make out a couple of crackles in a couple of spots per side [e.g.  'Flush']. It's the first copy I've witnessed for a while that plays the birdsong clearly, where you you can hear band members breathe deeply, and those very low frequency steam effects. Even the incredibly fussy track 'Mother' plays real clean - this is highly unusual. The only deviations I can detect was one solitary click in 'Don't Leave Me Now' & a further one in 'Flush'. Truly a remarkable copy - one which would be nigh on impossible to match, let alone better. FINAL UPGRADE. It does not get any better than this. NEVER HEARD BETTER.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) Well, if the vinyl wasn't enough to get you excited - take a look at this cover. In my experience the WALL nearly always shows some level of ageing. But this example shows practically no sign of ageing at all. This is not a trick of the light - the photos are a true representation of preservation. Front and back are close on perfect - with no creasing or smudging. The interior looks great - I cannot fault it. Hardly any edge wear at all and the openings are stiff and unworn. The spine is nigh on perfect [without discolouration]. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Truly a remarkable specimen. You would struggle going better.
Inners (Ex) Have seen hardly any ageing at all. No splits.
Sticker (Ex+) They can sometimes crease. This example is in perfect order.
