Original Columbia Records’ promotional issue of Pink Floyd’s 11th studio album released on November 30, 1979. This factory sealed copy has a unique promotional cover with the misprint that we have never seen before and whose analog we couldn’t find on the web. All of the promotional issues of this album contain a gold embossed “"FOR PROMOTION ONLY. Ownership Reserved By CBS. Sale is Unlawful” machine stamp located in the upper left-hand corner of the back cover. The currently listed copy has the promotional stamp upside-down and located in the lower right-hand corner of the front cover! This is just incredible! These special promo copies were issued by Columbia Records specifically for radio station DJs and shipped to them several months before the album’s official release date.  The front cover contains a large “Demonstration Not For Sale” timing strip sticker with the catalog number affixed to the cover itself underneath the fully intact factory shrink wrap. The front cover also has a promotional rectangular “PINK FLOYD THE WALL 36183” clear with the black text and catalog number hype sticker. Inside the cover you'll find the custom "The Wall" thin paper inner sleeves with the lyrics on both sides. Columbia Records “The Wall” Gerard Scarfe artwork custom labels you’ll find inside might either be the promo version, containing the black "Demonstration Not For Sale" banner on all of the four sides, or the standard non-promo commercial variation. This original "The Wall" promotional set includes an incredibly rare giant 33" x 48" unused 1979 poster with Gerard Scarfe's artwork. The credits in the lower right-hand corner read "©1979 Pink Floyd Music Limited" along with indicating the original catalog number "SOP-36183" specifically assigned to this poster. In addition to the promotional factory sealed copy and the large poster, the listing comes with a very rare original “Pink Floyd The Wall” movie premier fold-out 10” x 7” handout flyer with Gerard Scarfe’s artwork. The premier flyer contains the credits and the description of the movie inside with the signature of the director Alan Parker, along with a list of original merchandise and “Pink Floyd The Wall” PO Box address on the back.

The album is in amazing Mint condition. The shrink wrap contains the original breathe holes and is fully intact without having any splits, tears or missing pieces, only having some very light shelf wear. The large "The Wall" poster is in great condition and has never been hung only having some light discoloration in the lower left-hand corner and some very light scuffing on the edges in a couple of places. The back side of the poster is in great condition and doesn't have any soiling or stains. The original movie premier flyer is in great vintage Near Mint Minus condition.
