Here for auction: Pink Floyd "A Saucerful Of Secrets". SX 6258. Original 1968 UK Mono. Matrices Side 1 XAX 3633-1 stamp 1 T Side 2 XAX 3634-1 stamp 1 2 GA
As far as I know all the parts of this album are original unless stated otherwise in the description.And all the photos show the item listed here and not some other "stock" photo etc.Just wanted to make that clear.
I have checked parts of both sides of the disc for sound quality on a Thorens TD160 super with SME Mk III arm and B&O MMC II cartridge, Roksan Kandy RA Mark III amp and B & W DM 603 floorstander's. I hope this gives a fair representation of the disc's quality in the description below.
Vinyl is in a very decent EX condition.Record is nice and clean.Can see some light surface marks on first band side 2 when seen up close, and in good light.Maybe one or two other minor marks over the whole disc.Nothing deep or sounding.Overall the disc still looks very fine and free from surface marks or other blemishes.There are no kinks or warps and the disc lies flat on turntable.
Sound is lovely, clear and undistorted.In fact sound quality is superb.Track one side 2 (Saucerful Of Secrets), which has a lot of quiet passages, has some light crackle here and there,but nothing bad at all.All the other tracks sounded really fine and if any crackle was present it was only really audible between tracks.Verdict = Conservatively graded and very nice indeed.
Cover is in EX condition.Looks very decent, just light general wear.No label's or handwriting.
Label's EX+ Could see only a few light spindle marks and there are no other marks or blemishes.
Original inner sleeve is EX+.
