40.  The announcement on this cylinder is fairly faint, and so we're not sure of the name of the artist.  It is announced as a "Lambert Record" and of course the piece is a violin solo.  The color is fairly even, although it is a little light on one side.  There are two small scratches that are deep enough to show through the pink coloring, otherwise the cylinder is in very good condition.  Like all pinkies, it needs a gentle reaming to properly fit on the mandrel.  The original box is solid and clean with the exception of some brown spots, visible in the photograph.  Sorry, no lid.
