Description
The original cast of Fiddler on the Roof starred Zero Mostel as Tevye, a Russian dairyman. Bea Arthur appeared as Yente, the matchmaker. This Broadway entertainment collectible Playbill is in great shape, though starting to yellow a bit. Fiddler on the Roof is a musical based on Sholom Aleichem's stories about a poor milkman in late 19th-century Russia and the five daughters for whom he seeks weddings. Sets in this musical were inspired by the paintings of Chagall. The score was created by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, with its famous "If I Were a Rich Man" standing out as one of the most memorable songs of the musical.
