Poison Idea "Pick Your King" TEST PRESSING 1 of only 6!
DESCRIPTION: MINT condition Test Pressing of Poison Idea "Pick Your King" 13-song 7" EP.  Fatal Erection Records #1, Portland, Oregon 1983.  Test pressing is on black vinyl, with plain white paper labels.  "Poison Idea" is handwritten in pencil on one label only.  Record is in white paper sleeve.  Test pressing comes with yellow piece of paper with handwritten note from my friend Malcolm Conover that he sent along with it.  (I have made a copy to keep for my files, but you get the original)  Here are some quotes from the note: "In my last letter, I forgot to mention the label's name - Fatal Erection - which obvious or not refers to the phallic symbolism found in nuclear plants, bombs, etc." and "Oh I forgot to say the Poison Idea record is a 33 1/3 r.p.m."  He also said that the "test pressing is one of six."  He congratulated me on my retirement from 7-11, where I had worked when in Minor Threat.  He also ordered 30 copies of each Minor Threat 7" record, 30 copies of S.O.A. (Henry Rollins' first band, before he joined Black Flag), and 50 copies of the upcoming "Out of Step" record by Minor Threat. 
CONDITION / PROVENANCE:  Record itself is in mint condition - it may have been played once or twice, years ago.  Paper sleeve is pretty wrinkled and stained, and it's hard for me to figure out how it got that way, since I've kept the record in a plastic sleeve since I got it.  It comes from my (Jeff Nelson - Minor Threat/Dischord Records) punk archives, which are being downsized after continuing to be described as "too big" and "insane" or containing "more than my potential kids or grandkids will ever want."  Please see my other auctions for a copy of the 1st pressing of this same"Pick Your King" record as well as lots of other punk/hardcore flyers and records as well as other jetsam I'll be putting up for sale...... 
CONDITION / PROVENANCE:  Record and Sleeve are both in mint condition, and have been kept in a plastic sleeve away from light and dust for the last 26 years. Record has never been played.  This record is unconditionally guaranteed to be original, from 1983.  It comes from my (Jeff Nelson - Minor Threat/Dischord Records) punk archives, which are being downsized after continuing to be described as "too big" and "insane" or containing "more than my potential kids or grandkids will ever want."  Please see my auction for lots of other punk/hardcore flyers and records as well as other jetsam I'll be putting up for sale......
