Insanely rare first press of Billy Childish / Pop Rivets - Greatest Hits LP.

Only 50 produced and each band member made a sleeve. This has been confirmed as one produced by Billy Childish and was given to a neighbour of the house in Herne Bay (Kent) that the record was recorded.
The thick cardboard sleeve has been painted directly onto and what appears to be a sandpaper type grit on the front cover with WOW stencilled on. The rear has also been painted and the green and red design is synonymous with Billy’s design.
Silver painted boxes to ‘insert your own track listings here... that appear to have tracks embossed on the sleeve. The bottom part actually had the band members names but the first presses didn’t display them in full and just the initial letters can be seen. G which was Guitar Will Power. V - Vocals Billy Childish. D Drums Little Russ and B which was Bass Big Russ
There is a small tear 5mm to the front as can be seen in the photo and also some creasing. It’s been in a plastic sleeve from new as sandpaper sleeve would ruin other LPs.
The LP itself is in near EX condition, there are a few superficial wispy surface scratches that do not affect play. I have played this all the way through (LinnLP12) and there is minimal surface noise on the run in and clear playback throughout. Can even hear the band talking between songs!
The labels are the very first pressings that have alternate blue and black stamps on the A and B sides. Later copies just had black and some didn’t have Pop Rivets design at all.
This is a unique opportunity to own an original Childish sleeve and one of the very first pressings of only 50 ever made.
