Description
This is a 5 record, 7", 45rpm vinyl box set of the original soundtrack recording of The Samuel Goldwyn Motion Picture Production of Porgy and Bess, A5410. The original film was directed by Otto Preminger with music by George Gershwin and music conducted by Andre Previn. Cast of the film included Sidney Poitier, Sammy Davis, Jr., Pearl Bailey and Dorothy Dandridge. Sammy's role from the film is sung by Cab Calloway on the record.
There is shelf wear to the box but is still solid and all graphics are clear. See photos. Record sleeves are all intact, no tears. Records show minimal wear to vinyl and labels. There are some superficial scratches that result from normal play but should not affect sound quality. All records have aluminum adapter inserts.
