Description

Porgy Williams – ‘Lonely Man’s Hum’ / ‘Let’s Form A Committee’ – Sylves 123 (US)

This is second and, I believe, rarer of the two singles by Porgy Williams on Sylves (the first, That’s My Girl’, released as by Porgy & The Monarchs). Not as sought after as, say,

Please note that while ‘Get Your Point Over’ plays near mint, the flip suffers from a small scratch, which is clearly audible. Sadly, I may have caused it myself... Other than that, the record has not been played more than a handful of times.

Condition: A side: Excellent; B side: VG or thereabouts; scuffs, one small but deep scratch (please listen to the clips). Clean labels with only faint traces of wear (please see scans).

Please send payment via Paypal; payment is expected within three days. Will not be held responsible for uninsured parcels.

Shipping 1-2 singles: USD $9.00 to all European destinations except Sweden; USD $10.00 to the rest of the world. Shipping 3-5 singles: $13.00 to Europe; $14.00 to the rest of the world. Registered and insured shipping (with a tracking number) is an additional USD $13.00 per parcel, which will cover a value of up to SEK 2,000.00 (circa $305.00). (Shipping 1-2 singles within Sweden is $4.50; shipping 3-5 singles, $6.50.) Please get in touch for further combined shipping rates.

American bidders, kindly note that shipping to the US is not US $4.00; this is eBay’s default setting and not applicable as I am based in Sweden. Please wait for my invoice. Thank you!

Happy to answer any questions. Please see my other auctions with many rare soul items this week.

Thanks for looking and good luck!

Red Light Alert: I just noticed that part of the description above doesn’t make much sense; it refers to another record, which had a scratch on the flip, one that has now been sold. The Porgy Williams 45 on offer here is in lovely near mint condition, and this goes for both sides! (Please consult the clips above for verification.) Also, I meant to say that it’s not as rare and sought after as the one on Musicor, but still a nice one. Sorry about the confusion! As regards this disc, there are no worries whatsoever. The correct description should read:

Condition: Excellent (please listen to the clips). Clean labels with a little damage on the A side (please see scans).

Thanks.
