Description

This is undoubtably the rarest queens of the Stone Age release in existence. Right here is a record store only pre release cassette for the Queens Of the Stone Age self titled record on mans ruin or the ultra rare itself MR151

Only a handful of these cassettes were made and sent to a few of the more mans Ruin loyal Record stores in the summer of 98.

A slightly different track listing is on this cassette from the record. Most notably is the first track on the record is Regular John and the cassette starts with Mexicola. I agree with the change being regular John grabs you by the balls immediately. Mexicola is more of a cool down song. Also there is one song missing from the cassette . That being how to handle a rope. I’m not sure if that’s because it was the last song recorded or maybe it was added to the record after the cassette was made. Either way it too is a killer track.

I threw in a couple extras for you too. First is a couple silkscreened Kozik postcards that were sent to record stores. And last is the original mans ruin catalog that came with the cassette.

I’ve owned all 4 colors of the MR151 along with this cassette . I’m only keeping the yellow version . Sold the green and blue last year. The cassette would stay with me but I’m selling off a few things to spend some good time off with my 2 year old daughter. I thought someone would enjoy this but if it doesn’t sell fuck it . I’ll keep the thing .????
