Ahead of his sold out London Roundhouse show, Cameron Winter’s Heavy Metalcomes to black ice and silver nugget smash with clear splatter Lp limited to 1,000 and hand-numbered. His debut solo album following his work with the band Geese is one of our Album’s Of The Year. This record takes a surprising departure from Geese's typical indie twang sound, opting for a more delicate approach that showcases Winter's mystical and imaginative lyrical style. Instead of relying on stadium-sized guitars, Winter explores a softer touch in Heavy Metal, allowing his songwriting to take center stage. The result is an album that is at times puzzling yet ultimately fulfilling, showcasing Winter's versatility as a musician in the vein of iconic artists such as Dylan, Cohen, and Nilsson.
