John Philip Sousa's Band plays "The Gate City March" on 10" Predog Victor Monarch 3237.
This single sided disc was recorded on April 4, 1901.
Sousa's 1901 Band might well have been his greatest, with legends such as Clarke, Pryor, Rogers, Higgins, and Mantia, all part of his brass section!
The record is in V+ condition, but has a pit that ticks, plus a few isolated pops. There is an extremely fine 1" hairline edge crack, barely noticeable and no noise.
