Description
From the glorious heyday of Britjazz bebop, this 1956 EP from The Tony Kinsey Quartet still sounds superb today. And no wonder with the stellar line-up of Ronnie Ross (baritone sax), Bill Le Sage (piano/vibes), Eric Dawson (bass) and Tony Kinsey (drums).
Copies are few and far between – particularly with the picture sleeve. The Decca sleeve has aged really well, with just a little peeling of the laminate the only sign this EP sleeve is 64 years old.
The vinyl looks pristine but there is a little surface noise at times – this rarely intrudes on the music but means it doesn't quite grade excellent.
The Decca tri-centre labels are Excellent and suggest it's not been overplayed at all.
A fantastic find for jazz collectors, realistically priced. Don't miss it.
Postage and packing – UK 2nd class Signed For £2.75; Europe £6.50 (tracked/insured), Rest of World £8.50 (tracked/insured) (If you're in Canada, please ask for a quote)
