PRESTIGE PRLP158   GEORGE WALLINGTON TRIO  

This is an early, collectable 10"LP, by this bop pianist. The trio is completed by Curly Russell (b) and Max Roach (d). This is a USA pressing with a deep groove blue/silver printing label with W50th St. NYC address. The original cover art is by Burt Goldblatt, showing heavily the influence of David Stone Martin.

DESCRIPTION/CONDITION : The disc is EtoE- (VG+toVG), with some light scratches/scuffs, visible under a bright 'grading' light. These have some affect on the playing. The cover is E- (VG), with clear tape applied to all edges, although in some places there is now only residue left. This was applied to cover up some small seam splits and edge rubbing. There is also some surface rubbing/shadowing. There is dirt/staining visible on the back (originally white?) surface.
