Description

Prince Black Album Vinyl (Spooky Electric) Original Pressing? Much Mystery Surrounds this album which Prince decided to withdraw days after it's official release in Nov 1994. (Due to him having a bad trip after consuming too much Nembutal!) There have been many "bootleg copies" trying to replicate the original release and promotional copies dating back to 1987.   The original 1987 promos have sold for outrageous amounts considering the songs aren't even that good! All I can tell you is my Father in law was working in promotions at Warner Bros in Wardour Street in the 90's and was given this album by one of the A&R guys in the office. The sleeve is completely black with no writing or label number on it at all. The inscription in the vinyl run off is R/S ALSDORF 925677-1-A2 B2 What can I say?......... make your own minds up.  It's still a rare piece of Vinyl and has only been played twice on my Linn Sondek/Asak combination. Absolutely Mint Really. Listening to the album on a high end system and as a professional sound engineer I'm convinced this pressing came from the original master tape.
