Product/Provenance
Purple Rain was the third single from Prince's seventh album of the same name Purple Rain.
It was released ten weeks after the album, and received a release around the world. Unusually, God (Love Theme From Purple Rain) was available on international versions of the single, but not in the US, where it has never had an official release.
The single continued Prince's run of success, reaching number 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart, and number 4 on the Billboard Black Singles Chart, it also peaked at No’s 8 in the UK.
This is the rare, hard to find (In this condition) Japanese purple 7” vinyl.
