Here is one of the rarest Prince promo vinyl releases! It's an official pressing of the infamous Black Album on WHITE vinyl! This was issued as a strictly promotional only release and only 300 NUMBERED copies were issued. This is # 50!! Nice low number and just an incredible item. Not only is it numbered, but the whole color scheme is reversed. Even though this is the 'Black Album' the whole thing is in WHITE! The Vinyl AND the sleeve is in white. But it's not a generic white sleeve, it's just the like the black one in that it still has the peach writing on the spine!! SO INCREDIBLY COOL! This was ONLY given to industry people. It is gold stamped right on the center label with the number 050. So not only are there so few of these in existence, but each had to be individually stamped one by one with each different number. There is only ONE #050 on the planet and this is it!! RARELY do you see these pop up on ebay and the last one that did went for over $800!! These are really one of the top Prince rarities and the fact that it's for such an enigmatic release as 'The Black Album' makes it even more extraordinary!! Even when albums are numbered, it's usually on the sleeve, so it makes this that much more unusual that it's numbered on the record! Also, as another unique quality to this particular copy is that there is a slight 'marbling' to the white vinyl. There is either some black from the standard version or grey from the other promo version that made it into this white vinyl pressing. I tried to show it in the pictures, but it's not very visible as it was hard to photograph. It's in the bottom half of the numbered side. But it's not a stain or anything, it's actually in the vinyl itself, so that's kind of cool that sets this one apart a little.

This record has not been played since I've owned it, and I've had it for the last 10 years now. It's been kept in it's original sturdy, reinforced mailing container that I received it in and is in excellent condition. It's hard to rate these as they were never sealed, so 'like new' is kind of relevant to the way they were issued. All were handled to a degree so it depends on who's rating it I guess. I'll just call it VG+ or whatever. No major wear or damage and it's been very well preserved. There are two bum corners that are not perfect though. Both top and bottom corners of the side that the record slides into are dinged. Not major, but enough to be noted. The pictures show both of these imperfections. This is a VERY hard to photograph item because it's all white so the pictures can only show so much. But just know that there are two corners that are NOT sharp. But being that this was never sealed, it was passed around by industry people, etc. all those things considered it's still in over all VERY good shape. But no returns, so make sure you look at the pictures carefully before bidding.

I don't know what shipping will be on this, but if you take the buy it now before I put the exact price on it (I will be going to the post office tomorrow to price it) just know that you will pay first class/priority, delivery confirmation AND insurance! For a fine item like this I'm sure you'd prefer it that way as well. PLEASE Re-READ THIS SO THAT WE ARE CLEAR. It will be shipped to you with all the same protective packaging that I received it in. This is an awesome rarity from one of the great geniuses of our time. The fact that this is a special, limited edition, NUMBERED, promo only, COLORED, vinyl issue of an album that was only commercially available for TWO MONTHS (The Black Album was only officially in print from November of 1994 to January of 1995) makes this release quite exceptional!! Get it while you can. This is the only one quite like it on the planet (with it's exclusive individual number)!!!
