Product/Provenance
Scandalous is the eighth track on Prince's eleventh album Batman (the motion picture soundtrack to the Tim Burton movie Batman). Five months after the album's release, Scandalous was released as the album's fourth single. This Brazilian only Promo has become very collectible as it has a unique Batman logo sleeve which is similar in colour to Arms of Orion although the logo itself is on both sides on this example which differs from the Arms of Orion sleeve where the logo only populates the front. In addition the Brazilian vinyl labels contribute to the desirability of the record as they are so different from the stock commercial releases.
THIS IS AN OFFICIAL PRODUCT
Condition
Sleeve - Excellent condition, no splits, tears or rips. The only failing here is the storage edge wear which can be attributed to age, and some historic sticker residue. What lies within is an absolute gem. On the whole it’s a nice sleeve with strict sharp lines, free of any bends.
Vinyl
Side 1/Side 2 - Mint, both sides are in beautiful condition, with a lovely glowing lustre across the whole vinyl, best described as glossy, stunning!
Vinyl Labels Side 1/2 Mint - These Labels are stunning, free of writing, marks or stickers, with a bright clean background and fresh clear print. No spindle split or label break.
This is a very rare record, with a unique sleeve, coupled with a limited promotional release within Brazil mean it’s incredibly difficult to track down, it rarely comes to market, this product is a wonderful example enhanced by its Mint grade Vinyls & Labels. Auction starting at £60.
