Description
CONDITION: V on this acetate recording of the SOUTHERN WONDERS who were an African-American gospel group from Memphis, Tennessee that recorded several singles for Peacock during the early 1950s and later had recordings released on compilations on Rounder and JSP Records--Members included Ernest McKinney and R. L. Weaverwere and this recording was made about 1950 at the ENGLHARDTS Music & Record Store in Masillon, Ohio with the songs "WHY DON'T YOU RUN" and "TRAVELING SHOES" on this 10" 78 rpm record -- see photos. -- the SOUTHERN WONDERS recorded a total of 10 sides for Peacock on their Gospel series during the early 1950s -- neither of these titles are listed and so it is a mystery the source of the music -- the music is somewhat subdued with background noise
This record will be securely packed in a new box with cardboard pads, bubble wrap and packing peanuts or other fillers.
