Description

The Power & Light Co. - United We Stand - Kingdom Kraft 8516 - 1971 - Rare original Christian Psych/Folk Rock LP - Golden Voice Recording

Condition:

Cover: EX (minor ringwear)

Record: VG (close to VG+, some surface noise throughout, small pressing bump, some occasional small feelable marks)

We can safely recommend this private press with some strong fuzz guitar on a few tracks and big vocals by Dixie Stuller.  Rhonda Fleming, Chuck Billingsly and Lee Robison share some of the lead duties.  Fleming's "Our Nation" is a groovy late 60's style uptempo track.  "Lord, Don't Move That Mountain" is a heavy variant on the Animals "House of the Rising Sun" sound with Dixie's great vocals.  Great fuzz solo on "We Are One In The Spirit".   Also a nice open drum break on "Put Your Hand In The Hand".  The group seems to hail from Greenwood, Indiana.  The label has a Dekalb, IL address and it was recorded in South Pekin, IL at Golden Voice studios.

Tracks are:

  1. Everything's All Right
  2. When I See You Jesus
  3. Lord, Don't Move That Mountain
  4. Our Nation
  5. He'll Be There
  6. We Are One In The Spirit
  7. Put Your Hand In The Hand
  8. We Are Friends
  9. The Last Mile Of The Way
  10. Reach Out And Find
  11. Let Him Live
  12. United We Stand
