Description
From the archives of a noted Australian rock’n’roll and entertainment historian comes this great piece of Aussie psychedelic rock history Procession. Procession. Australian pressing. Stereo. 1969. Festival. SFL 933091. These days, Procession is little known but the 1960s psychedelic pop-jazz band had some interesting brushes with the fame, none of which actually led to the big time. They formed from members of New Zealand group, the Librettos, and Normie Rowe’s backing band, The Playboys. They were signed by Andrew Loog Oldham while briefly based in London, later picked up Ross Wilson on lead vocalist (during which time he got the idea for a song which eventually became Eagle Rock), and two members went on to work with Manfred Mann. The record is in Very Good Plus condition, with some scratches that don’t affect play. The flipback cover is in Good condition, with paper loss, ring wear, stains, split along lower edge and pen writing. Check my other auctions for rarities and extremities including a whole heap of Aussie rock.
