Prong - Primitive Origins LP. 1st Pressing. Mr. Bear Records. Thrash Metal Crossover. Hardcore . Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
The 1st pressing of this record has red in the album cover artwork, while later pressings are simply black and white.
The record has a handful of light scratches on either side. There is one long one that goes clear across side 1 but it is also light. Side 2 has one more significant looking scratch that across the first 2 songs. It looks deeper than the rest but still probably nothing bad enough to cause a skip or ruin the listening experience. There may be a few pops and clicks here and there, mostly noticeable in between songs but possible even during a song or two. G+++
The insert has little tiny corner bends that are less than a centimeter. They aren't particularly noticeable. One corner of the insert has some rumples that go across about half of the lyrics to the first song. (See picture.) Apart from that the insert is in good shape. G+++
The record cover has some minor ring wear. On the front it is visible at the top, middle of the cover. On the back you can see almost the entire ring but it is still faint. There are no bends, rips, or creases to speak of, but there is a light, faint and small, smudge just to the left of the bottom of the letter "P" in the band name. (see close up picture) It is pretty faint. The spine edge has light to moderate wear but all the title text is still intact. There is about a half inch of that edge where the varnished paper has worn off and the raw under cardboard is exposed. (see pictures) The bottom edge has moderate shelf wear but you won't see it unless you look at this cover from the bottom. Overall this cover still looks really good and I would rate it VG+
Grades that I use are G-, G, G+, G++, G+++, VG, VG+, VG++, VG+++/EX, NM. I won't be describing anything as M or MINT unless it is unopened and the packaging is completely unblemished. Records that have never been played but HAVE been opened, will be described as Near Mint or NM. These are the adjectives that I use when describing damage: Very Light, Light, Moderate, Severe, Catastrophic. To describe damage in between those ranks I say things like: "Moderate leaning towards Severe," "Moderate leaning towards light," or "In between Light and Moderate"...just for example.
