Description
This is a superb early Polydor pressing (2657 012) of Jimi Hendrix's 1968 master work ‘Electric Ladyland' recorded with Mitch Mitchell and Noel Redding.
The album is overloaded with Hendrix classics: ‘And the Gods made Love’, ‘Electric Ladyland’, ‘Crosstown Traffic’, ‘Voodoo Chile’, Little Miss Strange’, ‘All along the watchtower’ and others. It is an absolute prerequisite for any serious collector of records of the time.
All 4 sides are in outstanding condition and I would have no hesitation in grading them as ‘near mint’. My impression is that they have been played very little and have no markings at all on the vinyl. There are one or two spindle marks on the middle. The cover is slightly more marked, but I would still be very happy to grade it as ‘excellent ‘. The famed ‘nude’ photo is on the inside of the gatefold sleeve.
This is a particularly early Polydor sleeve, as you can see by the reference to the availability of cassette and 8-Track versions of the album.

The cover and any other items are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc + or - indicates a grading in between categories
