Description
Polydor 583035 stereo, rigid vinyl, made in England
Stamped matrix numbers:
583035 A // 1 420
583035 B // 1 420
Laminated jacket is VG, has a short split at the center of the spine, creasing, some bubbling to the lamination.
Record shows a few scuffs you can feel, some (mostly) light needle and sleeve-type scratches, general wear...still retains blackness and shine.
Side 1 generally plays well...EXCEPT there is a repetitive “tick” from a short mark in the middle of track 4 (“The Decameron”)
...otherwise Side 1 plays closer to VG+, just some stray “ticks”.
Side 2 has a long, wispy scuff you can definitely feel in tracks 2 and 3, creating portions of repetitive “ticks”.
This can be distracting in areas...though there are cleaner stretches also, and you can still enjoy the music...but I can only grade these two tracks VG-/VG at best.
Please click the YouTube link below to LISTEN to these two effected tracks in their entirety and judge for yourself:

Track 1 and the last three tracks of Side 2 play fine, more like VG+.
Aside from the aforementioned surface noises, the music itself tends to be clear and undistorted throughout.
So, still a decent enough player, despite rough patches in three tracks...
Fills the collection until you can upgrade. Priced accordingly.

Please pardon vinyl glare in photos.
