Welcome to my Psych, Prog, Garage, Surf, Folk and Funk, and Oddball LP sale!! See my other ads for more strange and exotic LPs!... This is for Bulldog Breed "Made In England" stereo LP on original UK issue Deram Records 1969...The laminated jacket has some minor storage and ring wear,and a torn part of the front left corner (about 2 inches square in size), but overall in very good plus condition......The Vinyl has some light storage scuffs, but played perfectly with no surface noise at all.. But I do rate visually, and this would be a near MINT.....I use Goldmine Magazine's strict guidelines for grading records...This is part of a collector's hell- he would buy the LPs used, put the jacket in a poly outer sleeve, and place the LP in a poly lined inner sleeve, then store it, NEVER playing it!!!.If it was sealed, he never openned it!!!...Mailed in a special Hard cardboard LP mailer for the safest ride to your house...I will combine auction wins to save you postage, but please let me know, and multiple purchases in the USA will ALL GO INSURED...Overseas buyers have the option for registration.. Also I do want to MOVE these out of here, so please complete all the combined auctions in a 2 week period, if possible...Overseas buyers please note that many countries have a 4 pound MAXIMUM on air mail packages, so there is a 4 to 5 LP limit on each shipment. And luckily NO packages have been lost via airmail overseas. Please check the US Post Office internet for postage costs and policies...the review on this page have been taken from the three issues of "Toffee Sunday Smash", a top late 80's British Pop-Sike Fanzine... Bulldog Breed Made In England (album) : A real raving cruncher here. These guys rocked hard and it did good. Songs like "Sheba's Broomstick Ride", "I Flew", "Reborn" and "Revenge" prove that a band can still let loose without falling into the usual rock cliched. They show their softer side with "Eileen's Haberdashery Store" and "Dougal" and even take a stab at social commentary with "Folder Men". The music is consistently great, although guaranteed to cause brain damage to anyone with a narrow mind. These guys were still very punk considering it was 1969. Listen to "Reborn" for a good sample, it's a real nasty one about the hypocrisy surrounding death....Personnel incl: LOUIS FARRELL drms A ROD HARRISON gtr A ROB HUNT flute, vcls A BERNIE JINKS bs A NICK SPENCER gtr A KEITH CROSS gtr ALBUM: 1(A) MADE IN ENGLAND (Deram Nova (S)DN 5) 1969 An obscure psychedelic/progressive outfit, from the Woodford Green area of London. Their album is now a minor collectable and despite the date, it sounds like it's from a couple of years earlier. Portcullis Gate, which was inspired by the image on the reverse of a threepenny bit, veered towards progressive rock whilst it's flip side owed more to early Pink Floyd. Farrell had previously been with Gun and many members had played with Please. After they split Keith Cross and Bernie Jinks formed T2, whilst Rod Harrison played with Asgard (who re-recorded the Bulldog Breed track Austin Osman Spare. Members also ended up working for Cross 'n' Ross, The Moody Blues, Robert Plant and even Tony Hatch! Robin Hunt died circa 1998. (Vernon Joynson/Jim McMaster w/thanks to Rod Harrison)
