Description
Inherited from a relative, along with other stuff I am currently selling. He worked in the music business for some years and this one came from the factory. Apparently this was the first Metal Box delivered at the factory he always said - though as there is no proof of this, you can take that with a pinch of salt. This Metal Box was kept at the factory and used for storing excess inserts etc for use in packing these boxes. Now this part I can believe as inside this Tin is 12 or 13 circle inserts! And I can see no reason for that amount unless that story is true. There is also the imprints of stickers on the front of the tin - which again supposedly said first tin from the factory - etc etc and also mentioned storage of inserts etc. Also inside the Tin is 1 Metal Box track listing insert and an advert from the NME which was torn out and put inside it later on. Also inside the Tin on one of the inserts it is written 'First Tin Received At plant - Spare circular paper etc....' This looks very much like my relatives writing.
THERE ARE NO RECORDS - which again backs up the inserts story.
So in short - my relative did work at various music factories in the 1970s and 1980s, and would have certainly got this from there. So the insert story is probably true. However whether this one really was the first tin delivered to the factory, its impossible to know.
So take this listing in fact as:- Was used for storing inserts at the factory. Has a ridiculous amount of inserts left inside it (12 or 13). And has 1 track listing insert as well. And one of the circle inserts has writing on it as described above. And these and these alone are the verifiable facts of the matter.
