The 11-track album follows the huge critical success of 2012's 'This is PiL', the band's first album in 17 years. Commenting on the new album, John Lydon says, ''Buy now while stocks last.''

Widely regarded as one of the most innovative and influential bands of all time, PiL's music and vision earned them 5 UK Top 20 singles and 5 UK Top 20 albums. With a shifting line-up and unique sound, John Lydon guided the band from their debut album 'First Issue' in 1978 through to 1992's 'That What Is Not'. After a 17 year hiatus, Lydon reactivated PiL in 2009.

Last year the band returned to Steve Winwood's Wincraft studio in the Cotswolds to record this new album. 'What The World Needs Now...' precedes the start of their 23-date UK/Europe tour, which kicks off in Glasgow on 18th September. The European tour will be followed by North America dates.

'What The World Needs Now...' is self-funded by PiL and released on PiL's own label 'PiL Official'

Record Grading

Mint (M): New condition.

Near Mint (NM): Nearly perfect, a record with no obvious signs of wear, a perfect sleeve with no more than the most minor defects and signs of slight handling.

Very Good Plus (VG+): A very good plus record will show signs that it was played, but was taken good care of by the previous owner. Record surface may show slight signs of wear or minor scuffs that do not affect play. Picture sleeves may have slight wear, lightly turned up corners.

Very Good (VG): A very good record will show groove wear and may have a few vinyl imperfections which will affect the sound. Picture sleeves will show slightly more wear with perhaps a frayed top edge, ring wear or seam breakdown.

Good (G) / Good Plus (G+): A good record will show significant wear and /or scratches, but will play through without skipping. It will have considerable surface noise. Picture sleeves may have seam splits @ bottom & spines, tape, writing, ring wear, stickers and other defects that will start to overwhelm the item. A good or good plus item is usually acquired to fill a hole in a collection until a better copy comes along.
