Public Image: Second Edition / Metal Box, Vinyl x 2, Virgin Music 1980
Metal Box is the second album by Public Image Ltd, released by Virgin Records on 23rd November 1979. The album takes its name from the round metal canister which contained the initial pressings of the record. It was later reissued in standard vinyl packaging as Second Edition in February 1980 by Virgin Records in the United Kingdom.
PiL's second album, is a near-perfect record that reinvents and renews rock in a manner that fulfilled post-punk’s promise. John Lydon's voice becomes part of the sound, the words blowing about like leaves on a windy day. Metal Box / Second Edition has the same kind of jarring, dislocating effect as, say, J.G. Ballard's The Atrocity Experiment or some of Jean-Luc Godard's late 1960s films such as Week End.
This is the orginal UK 1980 Virgin Music second edition, VD2512.

This is from a large record collection, not a DJ collection, this record has never been DJed and is in good condition.
At the start of Side A, first track 'Albatross' there are some crackles. While at the start of 'Swan Lake', the first track on Side B there are some crackles.
The record sleeve has some light foxing from being in storage.
