Description
Pulp Different Class LP Vinyl 1st Pressing Signed!. Condition is "Used". Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class. Very rare and very collectible
I bought this copy on it's release date. Pulp did a promotional event at Warp Records on Division Street in Sheffield. They opened the shop at midnight on it's release date. I went along and queued up and bought this copy at approximately 12.20am on the 30th of October 1995. This is one of the first copies of this album sold anywhere in the world. It has been owned from new by me alone. As part of the promotional event the first few copies sold at Warp included a signed insert. The signed insert is here and is included in the sale. It is signed by all the members of the band at the time of the recording.
Also included are all of the original inserts which are all in near mint condition. And the original vinyl disc obviously!
I use the standard record grading system Mint, Near Mint, Ex etc. The vinyl here is graded as 'Ex', it is in excellent condition. It has been played on the Linn Sondek I owned in the 90's and subsequently on my Garrard 401 which I now use. It has some light play wear but no pops, clicks or jumps. There is some light surface noise audible between tracks and on the quieter sections. This is an aspect of the original pressing which wasn't the best quality. A visual inspection reveals some very faint light surface marks which don't affect playback.
The inserts are in near mint condition. The inner sleeve is in excellent condition. It is structurally sound with no tears, rips or marks other than some light ring wear. The signed insert has some very, very light creasing which is strange given that it has been stored with the other inserts. This is an extra insert which was not included with the regular first release.
The outer sleeve has a couple of rips. I have included photo's of these. The outer sleeve on these is very delicate and renowned for ripping. The rips happened when moving the album to and from storage, they are not the result of rough treatment. Also included is the pink card to send off for more information about Pulp.
All in all a very rare and collectible piece of Pulp history! Please let me know if you have any questions. I am happy to ship internationally, get in touch with me after the auction and we can agree your preferred shipping option and I will invoice accordingly.
