Description
Let`s face it....there really were never gonna be enough of these to go around in 1979 when the band were unheard of let alone now that every POP/POWER POP/MOD and PUNK collector in all corners of the universe want one! Thirty years on it seems crazy that so few of these were made (500 i believe!)and considerably fewer around now as they have got lost, broken or scratched through the ages! The last remaining are firmly ensconsed in collections of this genre as highly prized items and quite right too because both sides kill!!!!
Side A is the fabulous sing along "Teenage-Teenage" whilst on Side B you get the equally wonderful "I Just Can`t Stand Cars"...what a great title eh?!!! This beauty came out on the INFLATABLE label and came in a great looking picture sleeve! For me it`s beyond anything by the Kidda Band, Letters, Fast Cars etc!
Now to condition. This is my old copy and it has served me really well, playing perfectly on both sides. Under the infamous Funky lights to be found in my kitchen i see a few light surface marks but i am being VERY picky so i`m calling it VG but you know the drill, it could be EX- but who cares? It`s a thirty year old record in very presentable condition! The sleeve is complete but has a sticker removal blemish on the front. Having studied it, i would guess that it has been doctored a bit to blend in, as you can see from the scan, it really is hard to notice and does not take away the attraction of the item and is hardly noticable until you look closer...hope that makes sense! i`m going for a VG+ grading and am confident that the winner will feel it is better than that...i want to keep my 100% seller feedback which i am proud to hold over eight years of E Bay selling!
Sorry to ramble a bit but you all know how rare this item is and i want to make sure the description is as accurate as it can be! I am taking the unusual step of putting a low reserve because of the scarcity of this one and also because having just read my condition description again i fear i have painted a bleaker picture than it is ....you`ll be really happy and won`t see another for a long long long time!
