Description
I genuinely don't know why this 12" single is one of the most desirable in the history of British funk and soul.
But I do know a little bit about its creation.
The radio station that recorded and released it was called Radio Clyde. My dad was the managing director. The producer of this single was a great guy called Bill Padley. I took the photos for the front and back sleeves. Nepotism, I guess. The band were great. They were all dressed up and posing in their light and fashionable evening wear on a freezing cold Sunday morning on a bridge over the River Clyde. They were kind about that, when they could have been seriously annoyed. The doves on the front cover image was a snap I took on my holidays in Italy earlier that year.
