REMARKS: I’m selling off my soundtracks, electronic, exotica, incredibly strange, weird and other good vinyl over the next several months. I don’t have room for records anymore. Please see my other auctions this week for similar titles. I hope these go to a good home.

From the “Collector’s Frenzy” website: QIANA - TV OST Lp by TONY LUIS for DU PONT. Original pressing on QIANA label (DU1001), from 1968. Ultra-obscure soundtrack for a film directed by Jean-Christophe Averty made for Du Pont to promote their new 'Qiana' range of nylon fashions and products! Practically unknown to most OST collectors, this is a beautiful session, named after the four elements, very cinematic and jazzy with superb scat bossa on QIANA and a rhythmically stunning suite containing 2 outstanding compositions called EARTH and FIRE. These tracks feature 'now' sound beat rhythms / swirling, psychedelic strings / hammond and lots of funky drum breaks and beats!.. The whole Lp is very chic and elegant with sublime orchestrations and jazz motifs throughout. Some fabulous scat harmony a la Mary Mayo / Edda Dell'Orso / Barbara Moore Singers on here too. Film fans may like to know that Averty shot the Qiana movie just one year after his film on The World Of Salvador Dali for Seven Arts, New York.

GRADE: VINYL: VG++, deep sheen, excellent.

GRADE: COVER: 7 / 10, minor wear,  pen marks next to track titles on rear.

GRADING: Records and covers are graded to Goldmine Standards to the best of my ability (covers are graded on a scale of one to ten: ten = perfect, one = most hideous piece of junk you could imagine). I cannot playgrade records as I currently have no turntable. If I mention its sound, it’s because I playgraded it before I put it in storage.

PACKAGING: Please be assured that I package all records extremely well in stiff cardboard – you will NEVER get a record sent to you in a flimsy envelope or silly bubble wrap. I mail the disc outside the sleeve. I collect records also, so all items are sent the way I would want to receive them.
