This is part of a collection I obtained from a collector who played the LPs only once so as to commit to tape and kept them in pristine condition.

This early press of A Day At The Races plays incredibly well.  I have played it through in its entirety and there is no crackle, no skips or jumps.  I would be confident in grading it as Mint if I'm honest.  It retains a fantastic glossy sheen and has no hairlines or marks at all.  Even during the very quiet 'You Take My Breath Away' there is no background noise.  In fact all the quieter parts play superbly well.  I cannot stress just how good this vinyl is and how well it has been looked after.  Yes it's not a first press but you will not find a copy that plays better than this.  A true archive copy in pristine condition.    

The gatefold cover has been kept in excellent condition also with only mild wear.  There is minor wear on the edges and a small 'bump' on the bottom of the spine.  The front cover has 3/4 faint scratch marks but only noticeable if you look for them.  It has a very clean opening edge and and retains a strong wide spine that is 100% legible.  The inside of the gatefold is also in excellent condition.

 Play tested on my Technics SL-J110R turntable system.
