Description
A Kind of Magic A2/B2
This very first pressing is in excellent condition and the audio plays with impressive quality.
EU 3509 // A-2U / B-2U
The audio is Near Mint-
The cover is Ex+The lyric inner is Mint
The labels are Near Mint
Visual grading
Whilst the vinyl retains that glossy sheen there are a few faint hairlines on each side but none that are to the detriment of the audio quality. There are no scratches and also cannot detect any spindle wear on the labels.
Play grading
The audio on Side One plays to a very high standard indeed and I can confidently grade it as Near Mint. The only interference are a few dust ticks here and there. It plays so clearly and for 30 years old this is a top quality vinyl. 'One Year of Love' is a real highlight and plays in impeccable style.
'Who Wants To Live Forever' does have a little crackle for the first few seconds but it then plays extremely well with only a touch of light intermittent static. The orchestral ending plays superbly with hardly any static, a stunning end. The remaining tracks play without issue and are a wonderful listen. Overall this is definitely one of the best first pressings I have heard in a long time. So many play with loud intrusive crackle - not this one!
Gatefold cover
The gatefold is in excellent condition with only mild shelf wear. The edges have some rubbing as do the corners although on the latter it is only minor. Other than that the gatefold is in superb shape, it is beautifully clean and there are no marks anywhere.
Lyric inner
The lyric inner is superb and is 'as new'.
The labels
They are extremely clean and I cannot spot any spindle wear at all.
Play tested on my Technics SL-J110R turntable system.
