Description
On offer here is a great first press copy of "A Night At The Opera". The matrix numbers are YAX 5063-2 AND YAX 5064-2 with the famous Blairs (not Blairs cut) etched into the dead wax. This is by far one of the best copies I have ever seen with the vinyl in excellent condition also. The Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold cover is also in excellent condition with only minimal wear to a couple of corners and only 3/4 very minor blemishes. There is no discolouration which is so common of this particular LP. Being an early pressing the cover doesn't have the glossy sheen of later versions and of course has the famous embossed crest. The spine is perfectly readable and in great condition also. This would be a great addition to any valued collection but as usual I'm starting at a low price.
The gatefold cover is in Ex++ condition (minimal wear on top right hand corner but overall is in great condition for 37 years old!)
The vinyl I would grade as Near Mint- (under a bright light there are only a couple of very faint hairlines - fabulous condition!)
The picture sleeve is Near Mint- (minor wear to bottom of sleeve)
Any questions please feel free to ask.
