  QUEEN A Night at the Opera MFSL Mint Japanese Pressing This auction is for Queen's album A Night at the Opera Original Master Recording LP produced by Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs.  Stereo Recording.  MFSL-1067. First Japanese Pressing. Vinyl is in original Japanese rice paper sleeve, was treated with Last record protector and played once, so M-. The cover has a 1" horizontal saw cut 3/4" below the top left portion of the cover; overall, we'll call the cover VG++.

Cribbed from a previous auction: "A Night at the Opera is the fourth album by English rock group Queen, released in November 1975. A Night at the Opera was, at the time of its release, the most expensive album ever recorded.  A Night at the Opera has been consistently voted by the public and cited by music publications as one of Queen's finest works, and one of the greatest albums ever recorded.Upon release, A Night at the Opera was a commercial and critical success, debuting at #1 in the UK charts and remaining there for nine weeks. In the US, it debuted at #4, the band's strongest showing at that time.  Rolling Stone wrote: "What sets them apart is their selection of unlikely effects: acoustic piano, harp, acapella vocals, no synthesizers." Melody Maker called the album a "must-have," encouraging listeners to "turn it up loud and enjoy." Since its release, A Night at the Opera has frequently been cited as one of Queen's finest works. In particular, Bohemian Rhapsody, the album's centerpiece, received acclaim and is still considered among the greatest songs ever recorded.This pressing was made in Japan, using a half-speed mastering process and specially plated stamps, on heavy, thick premium virgin vinyl.  A Night at the Opera is one of the finest recordings of a rock band EVER.
