Greatest Hits III (Limited Edition No 05446)

This now rare and highly collectable Greatest Hits III was released in 1999 as a double vinyl LP.  This particular edition has never been played prior to my play grading.

 As this is the limited edition it includes the pvc sleeve and has the Queen name and crest embossed on the front with Brian, Roger and John included also.

The audio on both vinyls is Mint

Visual grading

They are both visually stunning and pristine in every way.  There is no spindle wear and the run out grooves are also spotlessly clean.  Both vinyl have a jet black mirror like glossy sheen and look as new.   It goes without saying that there are no hairlines or scratches whatsoever.  The first vinyl does have a very minor warp, more of a small 'lift' really and has no affect on the stunning audio whatsoever.

Play grading

I played a number of tracks from both vinyls and I can confirm they play with stunning depth and clarity.  From the very track on S1, 'The Show Must Go On' the power and strength of the sound on both vinyls is immaculate.  They play as new which is quite rare to find today.  There is no intrusive interference and remember this limited edition is 18 years old now.  An excellent indicator of the quality is how well the quieter tracks play and I am glad to say 'Too Much Love Will Kill You', 'No-One But You' and 'These Are The Days Of Our Lives' play with impeccable Mint quality.  The louder tracks such as 'Princes Of The Universe' also play with no distortion which again pays testament to how well this double vinyl edition was produced.  With 'high end' audio throughout you won't find better sound quality than this.

Cover

The limited edition cover is in superb condition with barely any shelf wear.  The edges and wide spine have no rubbing and even the corners appear practically unmarked.  There is a very small indentation near the top edge but you have to look very closely to find it!  Apart from that the front and back cover are immaculate and the opening edge also has no handling wear.  This is a fine example of this cover and as can be seen the limited edition number 05446 is printed on the reverse side.

PVC plastic sleeve

This is in near perfect condition with just one very small split on the top left corner.  This is relatively common as the 'package' does fit rather tightly inside the PVC sleeve which can often result in some wear.

Picture sleeves

The first is in perfect condition and the second whilst in excellent condition does have one obvious crease which is more noticeable on the tracklisting side.

Labels

  The labels are in perfect condition with no marking/writing and no spindle wear.
