Description
Queen : Hot Space A3/B5 1st Pressing
This first pressing plays with superb audio on both sides and there are no clicks or pops and only a minimal amount of very light static on a couple of tracks which is totally non-intrusive. The clarity of the audio really is very impressive and nowhere is that more obvious than on 'Under Pressure' which is easily one of the finest renditions I have ever heard.
The cover is in excellent condition with only minor wear and the lyric inner has also been very well maintained down the years with no side splits.

Visual grading
The vinyl is in excellent condition and still has a very strong glossy sheen. There are no scratches and only a relatively small number of very hairlines. There are a couple which are a little more obvious but they have no affect on the superb audio. The run out grooves are pristine and the labels are also very clean with just some spindle wear.Play grading
The underrated 'Staying Power' plays with genuine quality from the first note to the last with no sign of any interference. The precision of the audio is superb and it just could not play any better. A Mint start to the side without question.
'Dancer' again has no interference and plays with great power and clarity. A couple of barely audible dust ticks and a minimal touch of light static on the fade out only this easily deserves a Mint- grade.
'Back Chat' plays with stunning quality and the sonic quality can correctly be described 'as new'. There just are no negatives and the mid solo is awesome! No ticks, clicks, pops or static just pure Mint audio from start to finish.
'Body Language' is almost as good. Almost! The clarity is still nigh on perfect with only a hint of mega light static during the first 'silent' section and two seconds of barely audible static soon after. Once again I am just being 'complete' in my grading and this 'background' is totally insignificant and easily missed. Mint-
The percussive intro on 'Action This Day' is faultless and it continues to play with very strong audio. This track often displays some inner groove distortion but there is barely any here and the only 'background' is couple of very light ticks in the instrumental section near the end plus a little static at the end of the fade out. I will grade this as Near Mint but I could be accused of being too critical with that assessment!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Put Out The Fire' plays with immense power and depth throughout with no interference at all not even a solitary dust tick! This is another example of a beautifully preserved vinyl and is Mint in every way.
The piano intro on 'Life Is Real' plays to perfection and continues in much the same way. There are no ticks or clicks etc and only a minimal amount of barely audible static in a couple of sections. Seriously it is so much in the background and totally non-intrusive. Yes a little more on the fade out but Near Mint is still an honest appraisal of the audio.
'Calling All Girls' plays with great definition and power throughout with only a little static on the fade out. Mint-
The quiet build up on 'Las Palabras De Amor' plays with wonderful clarity and the first verse is close to perfect with only a couple of very light ticks. From that point on it plays with incredible sonic quality and is up there with the best I have ever heard. Each note is so 'clean' and precise - there is no 'muddiness' to the sound whatsoever. A stunning Mint- version.
'Cool Cat' is very impressive in that there are no ticks, clicks or pops and only a minimal amount of very light static here and there. Again it is barely worth a mention as it is so quiet and it does not intrude on the audio 'experience'. With a 'casual' listen you would not even hear it! I will however grade as Near Mint just to be cautious.
The iconic intro on the classic 'Under Pressure' has no interference and it continues to play with fantastic clarity and power. This truly is an exceptional version and has none of the distortion so often associated with this track. From start to finish the audio is so strong and Bowie's final powerful vocal is a case in point. Honestly it is stunning! The finger-click ending is also near perfect with only a couple of light ticks. A 'high end' Mint- finish to this underrated album.
In summary this album plays to a sublime standard with no obvious interference at all. The clarity, depth and warmth of the audio is outstanding and the only 'background' is a minor amount of very light static on a couple of tracks. Just to reiterate I only mention this 'static' so as to be 100% thorough with my grading but in no way does it intrude on the quality of the listen and I am sure many would grade as Mint on both sides. It may not be everyone's favourite album but there are some great tracks on it and if you want a near perfect audio then this is the one to own!
The Cover & Lyric Inner
The cover is in lovely condition with only a little shelf wear. The top edge has only light rubbing and the bottom edge has just three small rub marks. The spine is near perfect with only a couple of white 'specks' and minor wear on the corners and the right hand corners again have only very minimal wear. The opening edge is in superb condition and the front cover is so clean with just one minor white 'mark' on the left side and a couple of faint creases next to the spine. The back cover is also in great shape with just a little ringwear in the centre - some small black 'flecks' for some reason. This is a fine example overall and it has retained its original colour and shape extremely well.
The thick card lyric inner (with rounded edges) is in great condition with no side splits or tears - just one small rub mark on the bottom edge and a few faint fade marking on S2 that you can only see when held at a certain angle.
