Hot Space A3/B7

This mega early pressing is 'as new' as the day when first released in '82 and has only been played two perhaps three times at most.  The audio is stunning!  This is a second or third pressing in my opinion but was still produced at the same time as the first which I believe has an A3/B2 matrix.  An A1/B1 or A2/B2 was never pressed and this is without question a very early pressing.

The cover and glossy lyric  inner are in superb condition and I have not seen or heard this LP play as well as this in a long time.  A final upgrade archive version for certain.

Visual grading

This vinyl looks 'as new' it is absolutely pristine and rarely have I seen one as good as this.  It has a beautiful mirror-like glossy sheen and there are no hairlines or scratches whatsoever.  S1 has a couple of small very faint marks but they have no bearing on the amazing Mint quality of the audio.  There are only a couple of faint spindle trails on the S2 label but it is patently obvious this vinyl has only been played 2 or 3 times at most.  The audio is immaculate.  A fantastic example.  

Play grading  

'Staying Power' is of Mint- quality audio from the very first groove and the clarity and definition here is stunning.  It is no exaggeration to say that it plays with 100% perfect precision as there is no interference of any kind.  A truly sensational start to S1 the sonic quality could not be any better and I only use the minus because the LP is not sealed!  'Dancer' plays to the same immaculate standard and there is no distortion at all which is something of a rarity for this track.  No clicks, pops, static or crackle, just pure stunning audio!  'Back Chat' continues this fine form and again there is no 'background.  Thus far the album is quite simply playing 'as new' the audio is 'high end' and it is obvious it has hardly ever been played in its 36 years.  Needless to say 'Body Language' plays with the same quality and I just running out of suitable adjectives for the audio here!  I listen to every second when grading an album and there is just no interference of any kind, not even a solitary dust tick.  This track has a some silent/very quiet sections and they all play to the same sublime standard and is another Mint- track.  'Action This Day' often has some distortion on the top end, this is the way it was recorded, so I am pleased to say there is very little here and the playback is very impressive indeed.  There is nothing intrusive here and the audio plays with very impressive clarity from start to finish and the fade out is stunning.

With no lead in static on S2 'Put Out The Fire' then plays with stunning power and depth throughout.  It plays 'as new' with no distortion at all and again I can't believe what I am hearing here!  The clarity could not be improved upon.  The piano intro on 'Life Is Real' is immaculate and the quality does not decrease in any way.  A couple of mega quiet dust ticks but you will only hear them if your ears are right up against the speakers!  'Calling All Girls' and 'Las Palabras De Amor' play faultlessly with Mint- quality and that includes the quiet intros and fade outs, not a single click or pop.  This really is audio of the highest quality, the clarity and warmth is just incredible.  The super quiet 'Cool Cat' is stunning and the audio is just so clear.  Without wishing to repeat myself you could wish to find a better version as there is just no 'background' of any kind, the clarity is fantastic!  Wow what an incredible version, not even a dust tick let alone anything worse!  The classic 'Under Pressure' ends the album in fine style with not one iota of interference.  It plays with wonderful depth and power and hardly any of the distortion that you so often find.  A truly spectacular finale and even fingers click perfectly at the end!

In summary this final upgrade archive vinyl plays 'as new' from beginning to end if I'm honest.  The clarity and definition of the audio could not be improved and this is perhaps the most impressive 'Hot Space' I have ever sold.  There are no clicks or pops and no static or crackle either, albums of nearly 37 years of age are not meant to play as perfectly as this!  The cover is also one of the cleanest I have ever seen and the picture/lyric inner is 100% stunning.  An immaculate 'package' overall that will not disappoint.

The Cover

This is one of the most impressive covers that you are ever likely to find and is in beautiful condition.  The edges and thin spine are in fantastic order with only one tiny 'rub' on the top edge and the corners have no obvious wear at all.  I can just see one mega faint crease on the bottom right corner.  The opening edge has no handling wear whatsoever.  The front cover is incredibly clean and has no marking and the back cover is the same, practically 'as new' really.  A stunning cover that lends further evidence that the vinyl has been hardly played if at all!

The Lyric inner

This is in near pristine condition.  There is just one mega tiny rub mark on the bottom edge and it has lost none of its original glossy look.  There is no creasing either.  Absolutely stunning!

The labels

They are super clean with hardly any spindle wear as stated.  The S2 label just has a couple of small 'mottled' areas which is actually quite common.  I am sure this is caused during the manufacture.
