This rare 3U/4U first press of Sheer Heart Attack is in excellent condition and having play tested the entire LP I can confirm that the audio plays with a wonderful depth and quality.  Under a bright light the vinyl is free of hairlines and just has a couple of small marks on Side One and one on Side Two.

The audio on Side One is of a very impressive standard.  There is hardly any static during the entire playback until 'Lily of the Valley' where there are about 4/5 light clicks.  'Now I'm Here' plays with a couple of clicks and slight distortion, very common with final tracks on a side where the grooves are pressed closer together.  For over 40 years old though this side plays extremely well with no skips or jumps.  This side visually looks superb and very clean apart from the small marks towards the end.

 'In The Lap Of The Gods' starts Side Two superbly with no lead in static and fantastic audio.  If anything this side plays with more clarity and for such a quiet track 'Dear Friends' plays like new, it sounds stunning.  The same can be said for the remaining tracks.  'She Makes Me..' and 'Lap of the Gods..revisited' do have a little crackle but it does not get in the way.  This side plays with fabulous audio that really would be hard to beat for a first press.

The laminated cover is definitely one of the best I have seen and being a genuine first press it does not have the Trident symbol on the reverse side in the bottom right hand corner.  The laminate often gets damaged over the course of time with plenty of creases also but not this one.  There are just a few very minor ones that really aren't that noticeable.   It has been superbly well looked after with almost zero wear.  There is very slight pinching on the bottom edge but that is being harsh!  The edges and thin pinched spine are in superlative condition and look as new.  It has a very clean opening edge also and has no marks on the front or reverse.

  The lyric sleeve is in excellent shape with just a little wear and tear.  It has a couple of small tears to one side and 3/4 small 'spots' but other than that it is very clean.  Being a first press the top two corners are cropped.  It is free of any other writing or marks.
