211 Jan-95 Queen The Game
Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab has been the undisputed pioneer and leader in audiophile recordings since the company's inception in 1977. Established by dedicated audiophiles, Mobile Fidelity's first and foremost goal was to offer faithfully reproduced high fidelity recordings that would compliment the numerous advances occurring in audio delivery systems. Throughout its history, Mobile Fidelity has remained true to this goal, pioneering state-of-the-art technologies and setting audiophile standards that remain in place today.
In 1994 the company introduced their ANADISQ™ 200 LP series, which features half-speed mastering with the GAIN System technology, numbered limited editions, 200 gram super quality virgin vinyl and special heavy-duty jackets with rice paper inner sleeves.
This very limited and highly sought after version of "THE GAME" by Queen from the Anadisq series was released in Jan 1995. Numbered 0983.
This copy is graded as EX/EX in accordance with the recognised Record Collector Gradings. The cover shows very slight signs of wear, and still has all the original inserts. The cover has been protected by a heavy gauge gatefold PVC sleeve, rather than the standard issue polythene bag. The LP itself is in near mint condition with the exception of a small surface scratch on the track "Save Me". With the volume up high the playback exhibits a faint background noise through the scratch, but it doesn't effect the playing of the LP, or intrude on the listening pleasure (the sound quality is phenonemal). Therefore for this alone we've downgraded the LP to EX and, with the exception of the slightest of spindle marks, it's as near a perfect copy we've seen!
